60 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE DEATH OF PATSY CLINE
Folks thank you so much for spending your evening with me celebrating and remembering the music of Patsy Cline. It's been 60 years since we lost her and her music is STILL RELEVANT today!! It continues to touch the hearts of young and old! And I'm honored to help keep her music alive.
Patsy Cline was born Virginia Patterson Hensley on September 8th 1932. One of her managers gave her the name Patsy from her middle name and her mother's maiden name, which was Patterson.
Patsy Cline played her final show at the age of 30 on March 3rd in Kansas City Kansas before her fateful plane ride home; killing her along with Cowboy Copas and Hawkshaw Hawkins on March 5th 1963.
